Scholarship for NC Students
My name is Charles Ullman, and I am writing to you on behalf of Charles R. Ullman and Associates to announce a 2019 scholarship for North Carolina Students sponsored by the firm.
The scholarship offers three cash awards to the top three essays responding to the following prompt:
"How can men become allies for the MeToo movement? Since the movement promotes women speaking out, what can men to do make victims of harassment become more comfortable speaking out? How do you think the movement has changed environments in the workplace, social life, and other areas?"
We are hoping to get more applicants this year, so I'm writing to you in the hope that you will share this with your seniors planning to attend a college or university. The deadline is April 15th, 2019, and winners will be announced by May 15th.

Crown Jewels Scholarships
Good afternoon. I am writing as chair of the Scholarship Committee for the Crown Jewels (NC) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated. This year, we are awarding three major scholarship opportunities to African-American high school seniors, who both reside in Mecklenburg County and attend school in Mecklenburg County. The scholarship application must be submitted online on or before March 1, 2019, and it is accessible through the following link: Crown Jewels Links Scholarship Application or https://www.jotform.com/
We are offering the following three scholarships:
1. The Crown Jewels Scholar - a $20,000 recurring award payable at $5,000/year
2. The Mardi Gras "Royalty" Scholar - a one-time minimum $5,000 award
3. The Links Scholar - a one-time $3,000 award
In addition to the above awards, we will also offer at least two book awards in amounts of $1,000 or less. The details and specific criteria for each award can be found in the link to our scholarship application or on our Crown Jewels Links website.
The Crown Jewels Chapter of the Links, Incorporated would like your assistance in distributing this scholarship information at your school. We want the senior class counselors to have this information to inform the students and their parents. Need a Summer Job?
The YMCA is currently taking applications for summer positions – while we do need adults, we also hire over 100 high school and college students as summer day camp counselors and lifeguards (training is provided for both positions).
The YMCA of Charlotte is a great organization for which to work and the Y is well-known as a leader in providing a great first-time job experience for young people.
