International House is looking to hire quite a few staff members to
assist young students in their academic growth this summer. Rising Readers is a six-week summer English
Tutoring Program for rising kindergarten through rising second grade
students. Now in its sixth year, Rising Readers has grown from serving
just one school in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, to
now serving twelve schools in the upcoming summer! Click HERE for more information.

Applicants must be 16 years or older, and in good academic standing. For students
under the age of 18, they must obtain:

Two letters of recommendation: one from a teacher, and one from a supervisor (work or volunteer)
· A letter of approval from the guidance counselor, stating that the student is on track to graduate, and is in good academic standing.
