Internship Description:
Seeking organized and motivated individuals to serve as Team Read 2018 interns for a local, thriving early literacy-based nonprofit. Strong time management and interpersonal skills are required. Our Team Read 2018 Internship Program is a nationally-recognized internship and is a great resume builder! If you are looking to gain valuable skills and do a ton of networking in the Charlotte business and nonprofit community and you love kids and books, this may be the internship for you!
Internship Objectives:
1. Promote Promising Pages via personal networks and social media sites
2. Organize pick-ups at local donation bin sites/organize book drives
3. Process books in our warehouse and strengthen interpersonal skills through managing volunteers
4. Attend Crisis Assistance Ministry and Bookworm Bootcamp
5. Collect silent auction items and secure sponsors for our annual "Bookie Awards"
6. Expand network by attending Promising Pages and other community events
7. Understand how to run a nonprofit/business and learn more about working within Title I schools
