Blumenthal Junior Ambassadors Program

We are pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for Blumenthal Performing Arts’ Junior Ambassadors program for the 2016-2017 school year.

Information and the application can be found here.

The purpose of our Junior Ambassadors program is to provide carefully selected high school juniors and seniors within the Charlotte Region with specially designed instructional and volunteer experiences that will enable them to effectively accomplish the following goals:

  • Cheerfully and capably serve Blumenthal patrons as volunteer ushers in our six, live-performance  theaters
  • Serve as round-the-clock ambassadors of Blumenthal Performing Arts to family, friends, peers and the community at large
  • Become lifelong, knowledgeable and enthusiastic supporters of the performing arts
  • Hone personal interaction skills with the general public
  • Become better equipped to identify, evaluate and pursue advanced education and career opportunities according to developed skills, interests and passions.

Specific responsibilities of our Junior Ambassadors include providing ushering services at a minimum of 14 performances within a seven-month service period—a commitment that will require roughly 70 hours of service per student. Additionally each Junior Ambassador must attend a minimum of three Saturday morning seminars related to arts administration and personal development.
