We're stuffing our famous Gamecock
"Yes!" envelopes and starting to mail some of our Early Answer
decisions. Don't be surprised if some of your students hear earlier than
expected. The early notification may concern some of your students, but
tell them not to panic. All students who apply and submit required
credentials by established deadlines will hear from us by our
notification dates. This means
students who applied and submitted all required credentials by the October 15 Early Answer Deadline will receive notification no later than the week of December 14.
Want to know what the Director, Mary Wagner, is thinking about this year's admission cycle? Check out her blog for updates on the application process.
Standardized Tests
Although the Early Answer Deadline has passed, October SAT and ACT
scores may still be considered for early answer applicants in cases
where the student requested USC Columbia as a score recipient at the
time of registration. This includes SAT and ACT scores impacted by recent score reporting delays. Scores received by February 1 will be considered for admission
and scholarship consideration. December is the last month in which a
student can take the SAT or ACT and have scores arrive on time.
Come Visit!
Students who choose USC cite the campus tour as the most impactful
experience leading to their decision. Nothing beats a campus visit to
help students and families get a feel for the campus. While
encouraging your students to visit USC, why not consider visiting
yourself? High school counselors and independent consultants may contact
our Visitor Center at (800) 922-9755
to schedule a visit for themselves. After registering, Suzanne Cruea,
Assistant Director for Counselor Outreach, will reach out to you about
personlizing your campus experience. Can't get here right away? Our virtual tour is a great place to start.
