Don’t count out scholarships with lower award amounts.
Some students only apply for scholarships with significantly large award amounts. The problem with that methodology is that you are going to have a lot more competition than with lower scholarship amounts.

- Glen L Rudd Scholarship (Students of Polynesian descent)
- NROTC Scholarship -- full ride to over 60 universities, contact erin.rios@marines.usmc.mil for information
- P.E.O. STAR Scholarship (See website to request information; scholarships are for women)
- Profile in Courage Essay Contest (Open to students in grades 9-12)
- Society of Women Engineers (Multiple scholarships. Apply for the college Freshman ones)
- Sweet and Simple Scholarship (Open to all ages, 13 & up)
- Texas Engineering Foundation Scholarship (Must contact Travis County Chapter Scholarship Coordinator -- Rebecca Feldman at rebecca.feldman@jocobs.com)
- Texas Hospitality Association Scholarship (Poster design)
- Texas Student Housing Scholarship (For students accepted to colleges in Austin, College Station, or Denton)
- The 28th Annual Kaplun Essay Contest (Open to student in grades 7-12)
