Good afternoon. I am writing as chair of the Scholarship Committee for the Crown Jewels (NC) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated. This year, we are awarding three major scholarship opportunities to African-American high school seniors, who both reside in Mecklenburg County and attend school in Mecklenburg County. We are offering the following three scholarships:
1. The Crown Jewels Scholar - a $20,000 recurring award payable at $5,000/year
2. The Mardi Gras "Royalty" Scholar - a one-time minimum $5,000 award
3. The Links Scholar - a one-time $3,000 award
In addition to the above awards, we will also offer at least two book awards in amounts of $1,000 or less. The details and specific criteria for each award can be found in the link to our scholarship application or on our Crown Jewels Links website.
The Crown Jewels Chapter of the Links, Incorporated would like your assistance in distributing this scholarship information at your school. We want the senior class counselors to have this information to inform the students and their parents.
