Department of Religion Scholarship - University of Greensboro

We, the Department of Religion, Ethics, and Philosophy at Greensboro College, have some exciting information to share with your school concerning our academic programs and scholarship opportunities for students looking to continue their education at the college level.

Currently, the department is offering a scholarship in the form of the Faith & Culture Essay Award to high school juniors and seniors seeking to major in Religion at Greensboro College.  The first prize winner would be awarded with full tuition plus room and board.  The runners up would receive up to 80% off tuition. To be considered for the scholarship, the student must compose a well articulated essay on one of the following topics: the relationship of church and the academy, the church’s identity in an increasingly post-Christian context, the political nature of Christian witness, the relationship between the bible and pop culture, Jesus and social justice, or a similar topic. (See this attachment for more information).  We hope that this scholarship will be an incentive to bring in students with minds to study biblical scripture, philosophy, and ethics from all over North Carolina.
